Flexing Spider Like Thing Dreamlight Valley Creature Guide

Navigating the expansive worlds of Disney Dreamlight Valley often leads players to unexpected item requests from quirky villagers. During Gaston's storyline on Eternity Isle, players are tasked with deciphering his bizarre descriptions to find specific local creatures. Understanding what Gaston means by a flexing spider-like thing is essential for completing his quest and advancing your friendship.

Identifying the Flexing Spider-Like Thing in Eternity Isle

When interacting with Gaston in the Glittering Dunes biome, he requests a creature he awkwardly describes as a flexing spider-like thing. Despite the alarming name, this creature is actually a scorpion native to the arid desert regions. Recognizing his peculiar naming convention allows players to quickly pinpoint the exact creature needed to progress the story.

Where to Find and Catch Scorpions in the Glittering Dunes

Scorpions can be found in the Glittering Dunes area on Eternity Isle, specifically within the quicksand and sand waterfalls. Players must equip their fishing rod and target fishing ripples found in these sandy currents. Casting your line into orange ripples yields the best chance of successfully catching a scorpion.

It is helpful to bring a companion with the fishing role assigned while searching for scorpions in the desert. Having a fishing buddy provides a chance to harvest extra scorpions with a single catch, saving valuable time. This extra yield ensures you have enough resources for both Gaston's quest and future crafting needs.

Completing Gaston's Quest Requirements and Next Steps

Once you catch the scorpion, you will need to gather the remaining items requested by Gaston to fulfill his recipe. His request also includes green spiky-leafed plants known as agave and sweet brown raisin-like dates gathered from local foliage. Delivering all three ingredients to Gaston completes this phase of the quest and unlocks the next chapter of his storyline.

Why Scorpions Are Useful in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Beyond resolving Gaston's humorous questline, scorpions serve multiple practical purposes throughout Eternity Isle. They can be utilized in various cooking recipes, gifted to villagers to boost friendship levels, or sold for star coins. Keeping a few extra scorpions stored in your inventory ensures you are always prepared for future desert adventures.
